Part-Time Police Officers
The Cleona Borough Police Department (Lebanon County) provides full police services to Cleona Borough, North Annville Township and Union Township. We also provide traffic-enforcement to Jonestown Borough, Swatara Township and provide a School Resource Officer to the Annville-Cleona School District.

Q: What hours would I work?
A: We currently use our Part-Time officers to supplement our full-time officers’ shifts. We work with each officer and schedule them when they are available to work. Typical hours are first and second shift hours and holidays (extra pay provided). We also have hours available to do traffic enforcement in which the officer can choose the day and time to work.

We will than schedule an interview to go over the application and discuss the applicant’s availability and background.
Minimum Requirements:
US Citizenship.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physically and mentally able to perform the full duties of a police officer.
Must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License.
High school graduate (or equivalent).
Must have Act 120 (MPOETC) certification or be eligible for certification upon appointment (must have taken the MPOETC Test before submitting resume).
Must be able to complete a competitive process including but not limited to oral interviews, physical and psychological examination, credit history and a comprehensive background investigation.
