Q: Can I obtain a copy of a police incident/call report?

A: No, but we can provide a report of crime verification form for certain types of reports based on a case-by-case basis. Please contact the department in advance so that records staff have sufficient time to prepare it. Due to privacy issues with regards to names, addresses, personal info, etc., as well as the sensitivity of police investigations, we can NOT provide copies of actual incident reports to members of the public. This is also due to the current laws related to the Right to Know Law and the Criminal History Records Information Act.

Q: Can I obtain a copy of a vehicle crash report?

A: Yes! If you are one of the involved parties, you can obtain a copy of a crash report for a fee of $15.00. Insurance companies and attorneys are also authorized to obtain copies of crash reports if they insure or represent one of the parties involved. Please contact the department in advance if you are requesting a copy of a crash report, so that records staff have sufficient time to prepare it.

Q: How do I pay a traffic ticket or summary citation?

A: Contact the office of Magisterial District Judge 52-3-04 at 138 West Walnut Street, Cleona, PA 17042 or at 717-273-0885. (This court covers Annville, Cleona, Cold Spring, East Hanover, North Annville, and Union)

We are NOT authorized to accept payments, pleas, etc. associated with citations. This must be handled before the Magisterial District Judge.

Q: How do I pay a parking ticket?

A: Parking tickets issued by CBPD can be paid by:

ONLINE– GO TO www.cleonaborough.org and click on the link for parking ticket payments or call the Borough Office at 717-272-7167.

MAIL: Send a personal check or money order to, 140 West Walnut Street, Cleona PA 17042 and please write your parking ticket number on the check.

IN PERSON: Go to the Borough Office (window #3) located at 140 West Walnut Street, Cleona PA 17042

Q: What is Right to Know Request Process?

A: The Cleona Borough Police Department is in compliance with the requirements of PA Act 3 of 2008, the Right to Know and Open Records law.  This law ensures that public information and records pertaining to the police department are open and available and serve as a resource for citizens, public officials and members of the media. Right to Know Officer Sergeant Matthew Rager serves as the police department’s Right To Know / Open Records Officer. To Request an Open Record, complete the required Open Records Request FormOnce completed, your request should then be emailed, faxed or physically sent to the Right to Know Officer by going to the contact portion of our web site.
